A smart video doorbell allow you to speak to people at the door so you don't need to rush to get up; can advise you of guests/deliveries for safety purposes; can send audio directly into hearing aids, and can act as security camera recording any movements outside your house. Consider choosing one that is directly wired in so you don't have to charge the battery frequently.

There are a number of ways this could work, but essentially, there are many safety benefits to having some way to see who is outside before opening. In addition to a physical peephole, this need could be met by exterior cameras, camera doorbell, etc. Should accomodate all users (Options like a ring cam/app combo works for some; if children could ever need to answer the door, an alternate option could be needed
